Well I did not better the time but you take what you get and it was a tough one....did not stick to the plan to maintain 7:28-7:30 pace and paid the price late.

The good news is that this is my 14th BQ out of 15 official marathons and my second as a master.
The bad news is that I went into this with a slightly strained back......it did not seem to be an issue during the marathon......after the finish I sat on a curb......when I tried to get up I felt a pretty good crack in the area of the strain.....needless to say the back is in quite a bit of pain right now........the kind that takes my breath away when I move/walk......equal to the back strain that put me down for 6 days in '93...........besides all that.....I think I need to teach myself how to pace properly again in a marathon.
Chip time.........3:25:30.....slower then the 3:21:56 last year but the course was easier.
