I posted this on a do gooder RW thread and thought I would include it here........my hero on the run strory....or how I came upon an accident....did an assist and went on with my run......

A year ago January I was in the Denver area for an Aunts Funeral....it was snowing and about 3 miles into a 10 mile run I watched as car slid on the road across lanes up and over the center divider...down a culvert and crashed through a wooden fence into someone’s backyard.....her hood was crunched up pretty bad....I ran over to her car...there was steam and or smoke coming form her front end......another guy stopped his car and also ran over to help...she was knocked out and we could not get her front door open enough to undo her seat belt...we were afraid to leave her in the car...I crawled through the back door and was able to get her seat belt off and then we got her out of the car and laid her on the side with something under her head....she was moaning and seemed to be in a lot of pain.....I stayed until a patrol car arrived a few minutes later....never talked to the police.....and then I continued my run....by that time there were several people around her.....I passed the ambulance as it came down the road..... That was the first time in 28 years running I came upon an accident as it was happening.....I have come upon several just after....hopefully it will be the last.
